Backlit workshops were a community engaged, multidisciplinary project where local people of all skills, abilities, backgrounds and needs came together and got stuck in. We taught dress making, screen printing, design, painting, photography, illustration and much more. A safe and welcoming environment where everyone got involved in the marketing and the delivery of the exhibition. We held a fantastic exhibition, fashion show and celebration that brought the workshops to a close. Some participants went on to set up their own cohorts, collaborations and creative businesses. They continue to work in Nottingham today and make to Make continues to support their work and their members as much as we can.
